A1: Satisfy (Lil Mark's Satisfied Dub)
B1: Satisfy
B2: Paradise (Lock & Key) Feat. Morning Star

Jake Childs requires very little introduction to the more discerning house ear. With releases on leading labels including Drop Music, Freerange and Doubledown, not to mention his own Uni.form imprints, he has taken the house world by storm over the past few years. We're delighted to release this EP from the Houston house hero, a record we've been talking to Jake about for some time.

Lil' Mark is drafted in for remix duties and notches up another of his full sounding yet stripped back jackers. The mix appears simple at first, a real trademark of Mark's sound, but its bumpin' bassline, bleeps and squelches grow around you becoming more intense with every listen. This works equally well early in a set or when things are in full flow – one for fans of MFF, Paranoid, Washhouse and all things Freaks.

Jake's original mix of "Satisfy" incorporates his brand of choppy jackin' beats, punchy snares, gritty synths and rolling bass that rips apart any dancefloor. The track flips mid-way and bubbles under as the bass lines compete for attention before recombining for another roof raising moment.

Jake's second original " Paradise (Lock & Key)" is an eerie voyage into the middle ground between house and pop. Once again moody synths and a growling sub bass lead the way, with the haunting vocals of Morning Star (who has previously featured on Jake's Icon and Drop Music EPs) gliding over the mix.

Plasticsoup.com 7/10
LMD have never limited themselves to the boompty sound, but a few of their releases have had that skippity bumping vibe, and this is another. The A-side is dominated by a remix, and a dub at that, by Lil' Mark, whose sub-bass and bleeps version of 'Satisfy' belies his Music For Freaks heritage. With the remix out of the way, Jake Childs gets the B-Side to himself, and the original of 'Satisfy' does just that, a rolling bassline supporting an urgent, bouncing melody. But the one to really catch the ear here is the pop-sprinkled (in a good way) 'Paradise (Lock & Key)'. Whilst it sounds uncannily similar to Brett Johnson's 'Temptations & Lies', there are far worse tracks from which to take inspiration, and I always enjoy hearing original vocals. Solid stuff.

Will defo support ‘Paradise’ – reminds me a lot of Temptation & Lies by Brett Johnson & Dave Barker, which can’t be a bad thing.

Anil Chawla (Ministry of Sound)
I'm really digging Paradise, love the strings, and the vocal is very cool, it's something I'd play and I reckon it would be quite a surprise on the old dancefloor! Also, liking the dub on Satisfy Dub, will play that.
