LMD013 Luckystars Swimming Under The Ice

Luckystars are a 3 piece band hailing from Russia who are really starting to make waves in the dance music scene. Their first UK EP was released on Urbantorque late in 2006 to exceptional reviews. Their fresh approach to electronic music has been likened to 2020 Soundsystem and Spirit Catcher. LMD013 will be released on 19th February 2007 and features the original mix of Swimming Under The Ice alongside remixes by Pete Dafeet and a mouthwatering team up between Jay Tripwire and Gavin Froome.
LMD014 Jay Tripwire Return To Roots

The link up between Lost My Dog and Jay Tripwire continues in splendid style on LMD014 with his Return To Roots project a three tracker of original material which sees Jay showcasing a sound that strips house music right back to its basics. This is Jays second original EP for us and the Canadian has pulled out all the stops with a mixture of floor rocking cuts and laid back deep house groovers. Keep your eyes peeled for this when it hits the shelves in March.
Bounce Back Back Back

The buzz around this forthcoming release by YSE has been phenomenal and were fending off calls and emails left right and centre here at LMD HQ from people trying to blag a copy!! A very limited number of promos were slipped out just before New Year and we cant think of any DJ who received a copy who hasnt been playing it. Farina and Phil Weeks are smashing it around the world, Raoul and Jason Hodges love it, Tripwire is rocking it everywhere its played theres an amazing reaction and people sing along. The wait is almost over its coming very soon with some very special remixes!!
Put Your Hands Up For Harold Heath

Harold Heaths Streets Keep Rocking has been picked up by Ministry of Sound for inclusion on their latest Sessions compilation, mixed by recent chart topping Dutch DJ/producer Fedde Le Grand. Harolds track sits on CD2 which showcases the more raw, underground edge to Feddes sound and features tracks by Switch, Trevor Loveys and Mastiksoul. Streets Keep Rocking was released in December 2006 on LMD012 and is a three tracker of driving tech/acid house rockers. With releases for the likes of Sensei, Urbantorque (the label on which Harold's debut album Hole Funk dropped in November 2006), Freaked and Detour, putting some of his original material out on LMD is something we'd been looking to do since Harold approached us to remix Smoketoke (on LMD010). Support on the EP has come from far and wide: Terry Francis drops it regularly at Fabric; Phil Weeks played it on NYE at Stylus, Manchester, and its cropped up on so many internet mixes weve lost count.
Compilations

As well as Streets Keep Rocking being licensed by Ministry of Sound in the UK, the LMD sound is being picked up all around the globe. Jay Wests Turnin Round (LMD008) is on DJ Chuckies Dirty Dutch (EMI Netherlands), Jay TripwireEverytime (LMD007) is on Erefaan Pearces (Deeper Sound Of (USM South Africa) and Luckystars Swimming Under The Ice (LMD013) is forthcoming on a compilation in Russia/Ukraine mixed by DJ Electric. Additionally we have contributed Tommy Largos Come On to a fundraising CD being produced for Unicef.
