The Lowdown
Versatile French producer Big Brother provides two deep and funky house cuts infused with musical and tribal rhythms. Big Brother, aka Patrice Oliva first impressed with releases for Pete Dafeet’s side-project Southside Shuffle earlier in 2009. Lost My Dog favourites Nick Dare and Harold Heath, two stalwarts of the UK deep/tech house scene, bring a dancefloor focus with big, driving remixes.

Q-Burns Abstract Message: The originals are nice tracks. The Latin touches serve them well and add some uniqueness. Nick Dare’s mix is a nice rollicking attempt, very twisty and doesn’t lose my interest. Harold Heath comes through again with bit of spacey acid. Good stuff. Strong and varied package.
Ant Plate / YSE: 4 nice slabs of dancefloor devilshiness on this EP. It happens to be mainly about Mr Dares Chymera remix for me. Tar ducky.
Roland Nights: Harold’s mix of the ritual is sick, definitely my favourite on this, it’ll be getting lots of plays from me. Cheers.
